 Juvenile Information Sharing (JIS)

This training provides strategies to addresses the  challenges to effective information sharing across juvenile justice and other youth serving agencies.  Participants learn to:

  • Build effective collaborations of multiple agencies and governance.
  • Develop cross agency confidentiality procedures that are based on statutes and policies related to juvenile information exchange in order to protect private information.
  • Employ appropriate technology to facilitate access and security of information. 

The JIS training and other technical assistance is delivered by experts in JIS collaboration, confidentiality, privacy and technology. Three levels of training provide multiple agency teams with the tools to develop  and implement cross agency information sharing that is designed to improve outcomes for at risk youth, juvenile offenders and their families.  All training incorporates the Guidelines for Juvenile Information Sharing, accepted by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention as a course of action to achieve effective and secure cross agency information exchange.

Culturally Sensitive & Responsiveness Training

This training assists service providers develop more culturally responsive environments for youth and families, promotes awareness and skill development.  The training increases the awareness and acceptance of one's own cultural values while promoting group bonding, effective interventions and strategies.

Interagency Cross Training

This curriculum teaches service providers about how to: harness the power of integrating positive family involvement in services; build understanding and coordination with families and other agencies; and integrate strengths-based and cultural competencies into everyday practice.

Building Juvenile Justice Integrated Treatment Networks

Based on the nationally recognized work of the Denver Juvenile Justice Integrated Treatment Network, this curriculum assists agencies, organizations, and communities develop and implement an effective network of public and private services.  Attendees learn effective strategies for developing successful multiple agency collaboration, planning, and building capacity that results in a comprehensive continuum of care for youth and their families.

TIMELESS! Trained in Maintaining Expectations, Leadership, Employment Skills & Strategies  was developed with project partner Leadership International, Inc. What makes good employees? Skills, motivation and job satisfaction.  How does this happen? Two level of training strengthen the skills of youth and adults entering the workforce, and  rejuvenate seasoned workers to increase productivity, job satisfaction, and customer satisfaction.

The Level 1 TIMELESS! curriculum is available for groups of youth or young adults entering the workforce and will assist them develop "world of work" skills to succeed in today’s workplace.  The experiential training strengthens interpersonal and personal attributes, problem-solving skills and reinforces critical skills to meet employers and the youth’s expectations for successful employment.

TIMELESS! Level 2 is for seasoned workers of any age. The training is customized to your organization’s strategic message and philosophy. The training builds leadership, management and other critical skills that strengthen customer service, individual and team performance. Participants in this instructive and experiential training will develop knowledge and capacity to improve communication skills, increase team effort, strengthen relationships, be a leader and prepare for selection and retention in employment.
