Due to popular demand, a monograph on the Denver Juvenile Justice Integrated Treatment Network is now available for downloading in pdf format. Published in 2001, “Coordination and Collaboration: Denver’s Story of integrating services for substance abusing juvenile offenders” remains a good example for jurisdictions that are committed to building a comprehensive continuum of care for at risk youth, juvenile or adult offenders.

The Guidelines for Juvenile Information Sharing; an OJJDP Report,  researched based protocols for developing JIS, continues to receive positive reviews by youth serving professionals and professional organizations.   They are being adopted by collaborations of juvenile justice and other youth serving agencies to guide their JIS planning process, and to inform state legislation regarding juvenile information sharing. Download the pdf file or contact us to find out how you can get hard copies of the report.

Juvenile Information Sharing project (JIS) Bulletin is a simple presentation of the importance of cross agency information sharing and summarizes how the findings of a national CND assessment informed training, technical assistance, and the development of standardized protocols for sharing juvenile information across agencies.

The Common Informed Consent Form was developed by a multiple agency task force of the Denver Juvenile Justice Integrated Treatment Network; to meet the need for information exchange between various public and private agencies, to eliminate multiple consent forms and processes, and to encourage consumer participation.  It has been adopted or adapted by jurisdictions across Colorado and the country. The revised version will soon be available.

The Juvenile Integrated Information Sharing Needs Assessment Summary Report presents the findings of the initial national needs assessment survey pertaining to three primary component of JIS development and implementation; multiple agency collaboration, confidentiality, and technology.

The Juvenile Integrated Information Sharing Focus Group Summary Report describes the views and observations of participants in the first national Focus Group on Juvenile Integrated Information Sharing.
